Ladies B vs St Marys B 17/9

The ladies B got off to a good start with a 4-2 victory over St Marys B.  It was a close game with 2 matches going to 3 sets.

Junior player Tamara Yeung made her debut for St Marys seniors and played a very good game, making Newbury work hard for every point.

Daphne Snook endured a painful fall during one of the games, banging her  nose and lip on the floor. Despite a cut and bleeding lip, she trooped straight back onto the court and continued with the game, winning the final match in three sets.

Overall, a very eventful match.
